What Types of Dermal Fillers Make Thin Lips Fuller?

Lip fillers are smoother, thinner, and more flexible than other types of dermal fillers. This type of formula lets your lips move freely, so they look soft and natural. Our dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, a molecule found in the skin that helps maintain hydration. Hyaluronic acid is the most popular dermal filler material.

The Juvederm® family of dermal fillers offers Juvederm® Volbella and Juvederm® Ultra XC. The “XC” indicates that this formula contains lidocaine, numbing the injection area, so the injections become more comfortable as they go on. The Restylane® family of fillers has Restylane® Silk and Restylane® Kysse. Both use flexible, natural-looking formulations that give the lips freedom to move.

How Long Do Lip Fillers Last?

Dermal fillers last longer in some areas than others. Dermal fillers made for the cheeks need to be firm and resistant to moving around, and these formulations can last up to two years. Because lip fillers have to be soft and fluid, they break down faster. Juvederm® and Restylane® lip fillers last from six months to one year.

Does Botox® Make Thin Lips Fuller?

Botox® is an injectable but not a filler. Instead of adding volume, it works by stopping the action of muscles that cause the skin to wrinkle. Botox® works for lines around the mouth and can make the area look smoother. You can have Botox® and lip fillers to enhance and improve your lips and erase lip lines and creases.
