How Does RF Microneedling Work?
RF microneedling uses tiny needles to create areas of micro-damage just beneath the surface of the skin. This triggers the surrounding cells to immediately initiate a healing process, producing skin-rejuvenating growth factors that speed cell turnover. The microneedling breaks up hyperpigmentation and scarring, fading them over a series of treatments. RF microneedling also allows skincare products to penetrate more deeply.
At the same time, the needles emit radiofrequency energy. This energy creates heat in the deeper layers of the skin. The heat triggers the cells to increase their collagen production. Collagen proteins give skin its firmness and support, so boosting collagen production helps to tighten and firm skin. What is Microneedling Like?
You will receive a numbing cream applied to your face before beginning treatment. This should keep you feeling comfortable throughout the procedure. A device will be moved over your face, inserting its RF-emitting needles, but you should not feel this.
